A most wonderful weekend

Ah...finally I can blog. It's truly a miracle that I can even get into blogger today, not to mention gmail and gtalk too! Oh what joy~

Friday night was one of the best nights for me...ever... The day started off a little dull, going for sound check which was supposed to start at 10am and ended up starting at around noon, going for a full rehearsal in which I only sat in the hall enjoying the fabulous wireless connection with my macbook on my lap without even picking up my violin for one second...rushing around hunting for safety pins to pin up my shawl just in case it drops when I'm playing my violin thus revealing my bare shoulders and risking my name in all sorts of criticism in terms of dressing...

The night started when the five of us, Josiah, Hann, Risky, Jesse and I, headed to the Chancellor Hall in Hann's black Iswara. We were all dressed smartly in dark blue, me in the only midnight blue dress I have (just happened so miraculously that our band colour was blue - I can't imagine how I would be dressed if our band colour was otherwise). Being the first band to arrive, we gladly tucked ourselves into the seats reserved for us and enjoyed watching our friends enter one by one. Excitement was thick in the air.

And suddenly, I saw a lady walking towards me, looking so much like Mummy that I thought I was dreaming. I stared, stunned and lost at words. Even her clothes looked like Mummy's...dark red slacks and a formal shirt with sleeves down to her elbows. After a few seconds, Jesse must have noticed me staring at her and said, "Eh, that looks like your mother..." "Yeahhhh...", I replied. And Hann said most confidently, "That is your mother lah" And Jesse..."Faster go liao..." And so I stumbled down and we had such a big bear hug we almost lost our balance. It was such a pleasant surprise! *big big smile*

I could not help smiling to myself throughout the whole event that night. Jesse remarked that I looked really happy. And I was~ My heart pumped like a very happy metronome set at 120. We played our very best last night and the unexpected happened. We came out first! Yea...but if not for the many prayers said before all the performances, this miracle would not have happened. We faithfully gathered in a circle backstage and said our prayers together, thanking Him for everything and asking that our fingers and voices be anointed and blessed and that we did all this for Him and Him only.

It has indeed been a fabulous weekend! =)
