We were stuck queueing outside the hall for almost an hour waiting to be let in. It was rather annoying to have to wait out for so long but I met some of my old friends and that helped to distract me from the warm air and the tiredness of standing on my high heels for such a long while. Some of them were my old music school friends who were quite amused that I was already working. I also met my secondary school teacher who taught me in secondary one and two. It was really nice to know that she still recognized and remembers me. :)
The dances were so nice that I felt even the wait outside was worth while. Since it was my first ballet concert I don't think my comments would be worth much. My eyes were glued to the dancers throughout the whole duration. The girls were all so slim and pretty and graceful. The guys all looked so strong and muscular and...sexy!!! :P I watched in awe as they did their pointe and pirouettes so effortlessly. The male dancers could leap so high in the air it was as if they defied gravity.
All the performances were very nice but I enjoyed the last one the most. It was the second act of Swan Lake. The picture in the ticket was taken during a scene of this dance. The prince was oh so handsome. The main swan danced with such grace and beauty. And oh I loved the costumes!!! :D
It was a very very nice night but I had to literally drag myself out of bed the next day to go to work. Thankfully, I was so occupied at work the whole day that I didn't have any time to feel sleepy at all. :)
