A Musical Night

It was my first time to an MPO concert. We all dressed our best. Daddy and Eu Choon in their batik shirts, Mummy in her new blouse and dress pants and me in my evening dress. We walked into the grand hall with much excitement. I held my breath as the music was being played. The sound they produced was awesome! Mummy described the solo violinist as "handsome". He definitely played wonderfully. I wished I could play like him, minus the funny faces he made though. They made me want to laugh, but I simply couldn't as I watched and listened in awe as his bow flew across the strings, making the most melodious music ever. The whole hall was silent throughout the performance, mesmerized by the music.

I must confess that I dozed off during the second round of the performance. Not out of boredom. But my eyelids got heavier by the minute. I woke up at the sound of applause, surprised that it was over so quickly. Truly a wonderful performance!
