A Scare

We went to visit Eu Choon at Astro yesterday. The guards were checking everyone's temperature at the entrance. Having a flu, I couldn't help being afraid that I wouldn't be let in. The guard held a digital thermometer to my forehead and the device read "39.4 degrees Celcius". Talk about a nightmare coming true. Mine wasn't the only one high though, Mummy's read "38.4 degrees" and Daddy's read "37.5 degrees". We blamed it on the hot sun and were let in. *sigh of relief*

Eu Choon bought us a Chocolate Moist Cake from Palace of the Golden Horses. It was dee-licious! So delicious that we bought a second cake, a Carrot Cheese Cake to bring back home. ^ ^

Scared after that incident, I was brought to Penang's General Hospital for checkup. They were all wearing masks and it felt eerie. The minute we mentioned "flu" and "fever", the lady at the counter moved backwards six inches. Seeing the funny side of it, I smiled involuntarily. =P

To cut a long story short, the doctor proclaimed me free of the H1N1 virus. His reasons being I had a low grade fever, not a high one and that my flu had been going on for more than a week already whereas those with the virus should recover within one week. So I'm having an infection instead of a virus attack. =)
